Saunas are able to reach a temperature of about 160°F and even infrared saunas are available. In general, most people will utilize a sauna session from anywhere between five to 20 minutes. The main difference between a sauna and steam room is that the steam room has moist heat. It produces many of the same benefits and usually comes down to a person's personal preference regarding whether they like dry or moist heat. The temperature reached in the steam room is around 120°F.
